Today we enjoyed a visit from Millcreek-West Unity FFA and a group of biology students.

Last week was busy but also fulfilling. We had our second cow in the herd, #480, start her 10th lactation. #6365, also in her 10th lactation, was recently confirmed pregnant 😁
Meanwhile, our team started training the first group of 1st lactating cows in our current robot barn. Moving already trained robot cows into a barn that will have an additional 6 robots soon! Before this date, we would only move in 2nd lactation or returning cows. So training heifers was definitely a new experience for us. They are by far more curious than older cows.
A lot of exciting things happening at VanderMade Dairy!! We will try to keep everyone up to date
