Ponzi Vineyards

Ponzi Vineyards Oregon’s OGs. Still pioneering. Sustainable wines. Intentionally crafted since 1970. Must be 21+ to follow. Please drink responsibly.

For over five decades, Ponzi Vineyards has been guided by a deep respect for the land, crafting wines that embody the quiet beauty and untamed spirit of the Willamette Valley. Nestled in the heart of the Laurelwood District AVA, our estate vineyards are home to some of Oregon’s oldest own-rooted vines, thriving in the energetically-rich Laurelwood soils that define our region. Sustainability has a

lways been our promise, evolving and improving each year to ensure long-term care of the land we farm. In the cellar, a philosophy of low-intervention winemaking—gravity-flow methods, native yeast fermentations, and careful handling—reveals the true essence of each vintage. Every bottle is a pure reflection of place, shaped by time, soil, and an enduring commitment to harmony

Oregon runs deep around here.

This Saturday, we’ll have Oregon football on the big screen.

Chef Eric is bringing the game-day menu: deviled eggs, pork belly, shrimp po’ boys, steak tartare, and, of course, the Harvest Board.

Come early. Grab a table. Order a bottle.

And hopefully, we’ll have a reason to open some Blanc de Blancs. 🥂

Thank you, Kyle Amoroso — head sommelier at Aqua Roma and Aqua Kyoto, NYC — for naming the Laurelwood District America’s most underrated wine region in VinePair, and for counting Ponzi among your favorite producers.

And thank you, VinePair, for asking the question.

A seat at the edge of the vineyard.

Watch the vines sway, the grapes near harvest, and the valley stretch on for miles.

Add a glass of wine and a good meal, and let time disappear.

Chef Eric’s Meatball Sub.

On the menu through Friday. Swing in for lunch.

★★★★★ — this weekend, on Google: “A substantial, divine sandwich clearly prepared by a chef that knows his east coast ‘sammies’ (South African for sandwich). I would highly recommend their world tour on sandwiches.”

A new look. From the Willamette Valley.

Two wines that helped define it. Ready for what’s next.

2025 Ponzi Pinot Gris
The original. Still setting the standard. In 1981, Ponzi produced America’s first commercial Pinot Gris. More than four decades later, we’re still refining it.

2024 Ponzi Tavola Pinot Noir
Fresh by design. Max Bruening’s first vintage as Ponzi winemaker brings a new energy to Tavola—putting decades of craft into a wine made for the table.

New vintages. New labels. A new chapter for two Ponzi originals.

Nearly 60 years of growing vines here means every new planting begins with generations of knowledge behind it.

And a reason to keep asking what’s possible.

Winterwood is our newest exploration. Planted in 2024, it’s our westernmost, highest-elevation vineyard. Phases 1 and 2 are developing beautifully, with the first small blocks expected to produce fruit next year.

In our established vineyards, that same curiosity continues. Sap flow pruning, under the instruction of Simonit & Sirch, is showing in balanced canopies, strong fruit set and remarkably consistent cluster and berry development. Healthier, more balanced vines—and ultimately, more energy in the wines.

Experience, put to work.

Vintage 2026 is beautifully in balance.

Soy glazed pork belly. Miso pickled cucumbers. Carrots. Cilantro.

A glass of Laurelwood District Pinot Noir cuts straight through it — red fruit, forest floor, and the trademark Laurelwood spice.

Richness and acid.

The Bánh Mì lands on the menu tomorrow for National Sandwich Month.

Long before the first grape hits the sorting table, there’s this.

Max Bruening, Ponzi’s Winemaker, out walking the vines, reading the canopy, checking the clusters, letting the vineyard set the pace.

Harvest starts here.
