One of the things on our "learn to do this year" list was making homemade pasta... and I think we've finally gotten the hang of it! 🍝

There's something so satisfying about turning a few simple ingredients into fresh pasta from scratch. It takes a little more time, but the flavor and texture are worth every minute.

Sorry, store-bought... you've officially been replaced. 😉 Homemade wins every time!

There's something special about discovering that your homestead has become home for more than just the animals you planned for. ❤️🐦

We looked up above the rabbitry today and found this tiny nest full of hungry little hatchlings! Seeing those wide-open beaks reminds us that God's creation is full of life in every corner if we take the time to notice.

Our rabbitry isn't just providing shelter for our rabbits—it has become a safe place for a little bird family too. We'll be giving these little ones plenty of space while Mom and Dad keep them fed until they're ready to take flight.

It's amazing how the homestead is always teaching us to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the small blessings God places right in front of us.

Sometimes it's the smallest moments that make you stop. 🐸❤️

While moving the sheep fence today, I looked down and found this tiny little frog perched on top of a T-post, as if it was supervising the whole operation. It's amazing how much life is thriving all around us when we slow down long enough to notice.

Homestead life isn't just about raising animals or building fences—it's also about sharing the land with God's incredible creation. We carefully moved on and left our tiny friend undisturbed.

After moving the sheep to a different paddock and mowing, we made a discovery we almost mowed over...a TURKEY NEST! 🦃😍
So glad to have noticed it before mowing over it!

We've marked it so we can keep a wide buffer. We made sure momma turkey was back with her eggs. We'll be monitoring a praying nothing else disturbs mom's nest!

Grateful for these reminders to slow down and pay attention🩷

🐷💦 We moved the pigs down to the pond, and judging by their reaction, we're pretty sure they approve! 😂

Nothing beats watching happy pigs splash, root around, and settle into a new spot on a warm day. Seeing them enjoy the simple things is one of our favorite parts of homestead life.

We'd call this move a success! ❤️🌿

It's been a while since we've had baby bunnies around here, so finding this nest full of tiny spotted bundles of fluff was pretty exciting! ❤️

We're looking forward to watching these little hoppers grow over the next few weeks. For now, we'll be quietly checking on them and letting mama do what she does best.
