Sourdough PSA‼️

Some people have an allergy to yeast (usually hand in hand with a gluten intolerance) and it’s what I refer to as ‘commercial’ yeast. Due to the fact that it’s a store bought and a manufactured ingredient. Sourdough yeast is created through fermentation and is a la natural. For the love of god, if you’re selling sourdough bread (anything sourdough really), and you’ve added ‘commercial’ yeast to your starter, PLEASE put it on your ingredient label! There will always be a trace and could make someone sick.

We will be at Bridgeport Farmers Market (and Makers) tomorrow! We will have all the fav breads: Sourdough, Country White, Stuffed Italian, Soft Italian, Rosemary Olive Oil, Everything, Tomato Basil & Mozz Focaccia and Mediterranean (The Greek) Focaccia

What we call the ‘Extras’: Bagel Bombs, Chocolate Chip Scones, Kolaches, Pepperoni Rolls with Mozz, Peanut Butter Pie Cups. Our Cheesecake Cup Flavors will be: Lemon, Strawberry and Cherry.

Come out and enjoy a beautiful Sunday with farmers, bakers, makers, live music, food trucks, kids corner activities and more. 😊

I’m officially closing the storefront. Thank You So Much Shinnston ❤️!! I’ve met some amazing people, felt the love and made friendships that I’ll cherish 😊

You can catch me at the Bridgeport Farmers Market each Sunday from 10 - 1 until mid October.

On a side note, I’d love someone to take over the space I built. It’s a licensed commercial kitchen. I created two rooms in the back for ‘dry goods’ and ‘cold storage’. Mop sink in place, two hand washing stations, three compartment sink, and quite a few appliances. It would be a great space for a food truck prep kitchen. Giving it a week and will then start listing appliances for individual sale.

What a fantastic opening day at Bridgeport Farmers Market! (05/17).
Thank You to all involved in making this happen 🥰

I saw quite a few faces that I hadn’t seen in a few years, conversations flowed, the set up with so many new vendors attending was flawless and the Kids Corner was quite a big hit!

A heartfelt thanks to Perris Reed for investing so much time, energy, thought and kindness into BFM2. The volunteers were also fantastic, from helping vendors to pop up their canopies, answering customer questions, helping with the layout and much more!

The Vibe was open, heartfelt and informative which creates such a wonderful place to hang out for a few hours on a Sunday morning/afternoon. Can’t wait for next week! Hope to see you there!

This is the Stuffed Italian Bread! What’s it stuffed with? Oh, just five cheeses (mozzarella, provolone, asiago, romano and parmesan) along with deli pepperoni and a carefully thought out seasoning blend. We like to slice and toast it with marinara dipping sauce. It also makes a phenomenal base for a caprese salad 😋

So stoked to be baking bread again! It’s my absolute favorite thing to bake 🍞❤️!

I’ve made the tough decision to close the shop this week 😞 The Bridgeport Farmers Market kicks off this Sunday! I’ve stressed over every scenario to be able to open this week while getting the timing down to be prepared for the market, and it’s not happening. The week before is crucial for Farmers Market vendors as we’re getting our stride for the extra work while maintaining our jobs, shops, families and every day life. This is where I got my start and for that, I’ll be forever grateful. We will be back next week (05/19 - 05/22) with hoagies, quesadillas, burritos, tacos, breakfast sandwiches, donuts etc.

In the meantime, visit me this Sunday (05/17) for some great breads, cookies, pepperoni rolls, bagel bombs, kolaches and all your favorites! It’s going to be a fantastic time 😊
