Fun fact: I try to take time “to smell the roses” and one morning before church I walked over to our beautiful David Austin roses and inhaled and savored. Then I climbed in the car I remembered very quickly that we had hit a skunk the night before. Talk about a huge difference of aroma and oder! 😂

This arrangement was for a friends farewell party. Summer speeds by so quickly every year and it’s always a reminder to stop and savor all the color and smells! 😉

The first two years with new peony plants it's
recommended to disbud them and wait for the
3rd year to harvest. We have some plants that
were planted in the fall of 2020 and they FINALLY seem to approve of their new spot. Many flowers try our patience but peonies do make up for being ornery with their show-stopping blooms! 🤩

Thanks to I have had these lovely rainbows stuck in my head for a couple years now. And just the other evening was the right time to grab a ladder to capture the fleeting golden glow of summer that has slipped by so quickly.
