Swing by the orchard this weekend to enjoy an early taste of summer and get a sneak peek at cherry season!

🍒 We're opening our Jubileum tart cherries for (very limited) picking. First come, first served! These red beauties are great for fresh eating, baking and juicing.
🍾 Sample our special-release cherry hard cider, Burbank and Balaton (and take advantage of our Buy One Bottle / Get One for 50% off deal).
🥨The Cider Garden will also be open on Saturday, featuring locally-sourced small plates and beverages.

🍓The first strawberries of the season are ready .
🍓Our next picking window will be WEDNESDAY from 2PM-6PM.
🍓The berries look beautiful (and taste amazing!), but since it is still early season the quantities may be limited. First come, first served!
🍓Stop by the Shoreham Strawberry Festival after picking (6PM-8PM at the gazebo on the town green).

Going forward, our planned picking schedule is:
- Monday: 2PM-6PM
- Wednesday: 2PM-6PM
- Saturday: 10AM-4PM (head over to Champlain Orchards afterward and visit our Cider Garden!)
+ Pop-up picking windows may be added based on crop availability.

Strawberry pricing:
- PYO: $4.99/lb.
- Pre-picked (limited quantities): $7.00/pint

*** Picking is weather and crop dependent, so please call ahead to confirm availability: 802-897-5043. When you arrive, please check into our Farm Market before heading to the Douglas strawberry patch.

Today we welcomed the staff of Senator Bernie Sanders for a tour of the orchard and a discussion of the opportunities and challenges facing Vermont farms. We're so grateful for the senator's engagement and support. 🍎

Our visiting pollinators from West Meadow Apiary LLC in Randolph, Vermont just wrapped up a busy few weeks at the orchard! These tiny worker bees have such an important impact on the fruit we grow.

Did You Know...
🐝Bees (and other pollinators) are essential orchard workers, carrying pollen from flower to flower as they forage.
🌸Pollination is what turns spring blossoms into the fruit we harvest — without it, many flowers won’t develop into healthy fruit.
🍎Healthy pollinator populations help support strong harvests each season. Good pollination helps produce larger, better-shaped, and more flavorful fruit by ensuring blossoms are fully fertilized.

We're rolling out our expanded Farm Market schedule this weekend, and the market is stocked and ready with all of your orchard favorites: fresh cider donuts and apple pies; pre-picked apples; sweet cider; hard cider; and local provisions. Stop in to shop, or just to say hi!
