My biggest project to date: these VIP mooncake gift boxes for Snoqualmie Casino! 🥮💙✨
What started as making mooncakes with family for the Mid-Autumn Festival has grown to something much bigger than myself. I am so happy that I get to carry on the tradition of hand-making mooncakes and creating memorable experiences.
This was my first large-scale corporate gifting project and I was given the creative freedom to design a luxury gift box inspired by the branding of Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel. What made it even more special was their encouragement to celebrate my own artistry. I developed gift box concepts, sourced the packaging, and curated the mooncake designs and flavors.
From the moment the inquiry came in, the thought of saying no never crossed my mind. I knew producing 160 gift boxes would be a challenge, but I’m so proud of how it all came together.
I even had a mooncake sampling session with executives at the casino! We all met and tried each flavor together and I loved hearing about everyone’s favorites. The casino already had a tradition of gifting guests mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival, and I was honored to create something special for their VIP guests. They especially loved the contrast of the shortbread-style crust and the balanced flavors of the fillings. The Vietnamese Coffee mooncake was a crowd favorite, and I was told the guests loved the mooncakes.
And to top it all off, Snoqualmie Casino presented one of my mooncake gift boxes to THE Chef Jung Ji-sun and she was thrilled!? What do you mean the Queen of Dim Sum from Culinary Class Wars got some of my mooncakes?! I can’t believe I’ll get to see her cook in person at Snoqualmie’s November 6 culinary event!
The magnitude of the project is really starting to sink in. An organization of this scale trusted me to create a gift box for their VIP guests. Thank you to the Snoqualmie team for the opportunity and confidence in my work. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this possible. I’m so proud to have brought this vision to life and shared a little piece of my culture through something I love creating. 🥮🥰💜
