A somber week at the store, as we regret to inform you that our good friend/co-worker, has unfortunately passed on.
Bruce came to us about a year ago, when his previous employer (MGM Eagan) was forced out of their building. He constantly spoke about how much he respected his fellow employees, and his boss Rob. I seriously doubt there was a day here, where he didn't talk about his time there.
He quickly got on the job here, and learned how we did (or didn't do ๐) things at Shorewood Liquor. Bruce was a hard worker, but honestly, I think he truly just wanted to engage with others. He was a talker, and got to know every single customer that stepped foot in the store.
He'd always talk about his hometown of Windom, MN, and about sports. Bruce was truly a sports fanatic, and would recount such things from his past on a daily basis.
When I heard of Bruce's passing, I immediately contacted a couple people from his hometown of Windom, to find out his story. I was truly shocked, when a few classmates responded to my request, and talked about his kindness, care for others, and (of course), his pure athletic abilities.
Attached are some pictures of his friends at MGM Eagan, a senior photo, and his absolute ridiculous achievements as an athlete at his pride and joy: Windom, MN
We only knew you for a short time, but that time will stay in our memories for all of our days.
Rest easy Bruce...๐ซถ
