Heart Gates Vineyard Heart Gates Vineyard is a family owned boutique vineyard in Shreveport, Louisiana. Wine in stores now Robert E. Lewis is the grandson of a Sicilian immigrant.

Growing up in a large Italian family, Robert learned the value of family. The family gathered for family and religious reasons often and usually around the dinner table. Robert wanted to instill that value of family togetherness in his son and share it with his community, which inspired the idea of Heart Gates Vineyard. Robert enjoys good food, great wine and being outside so he decided to balance

his day job with his desire to grow a vineyard to produce fine wine. Over the years, Robert’s passion of collecting and drinking wine has evolved to one of creating and sharing wines of the highest quality. Creating a Dream

Through hard work and a passion filled heart, Robert established Heart Gates Vineyard in 2015. Heart Gates Vineyard is a family owned and operated vineyard located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The vineyard was aptly named after the two old iron gates at the entrance of the farm which have hearts fashioned into the iron work. His family and friends are preparing the vineyard by hand with future dreams of opening a winery. The success of the vineyard will not come through advertising, but by word of mouth. Robert believes success is not defined by the amount of money in the bank or assets on a balance sheet. Success is measured through memories and relationships made in the vineyard. He wants people to step away from their busy life, take a breath and make time for conversation. Face to face conversation that doesn’t involve an electronic device, but a glass filled with love. Robert wants to create a place where guests are brought together like a big Italian family. Heart Gates Vineyard is a place where memories and relationships are made. Lasting memories that are made through good food and even better wine.
