Ok foodies,
It's not the 318 but if you find yourself near Abilene, TX you MUST stop in Grain Theory ! These local folks created the best stop in Abilene for a variety of their mastercrafted beers, great food and great coffee. This brewery is coming into two years in operation, braving through all the challenges of COVID and coming out a huge success. Of course I had to try as many of their beers as I could. Here's what I tried:

If you're looking for an IPA, try the Alter-Ego. it was a tasty, hoppy, 7.3% IPA with tangerine, lemon zest and pine

If you'd rather a stout, you MUST try the MAGNA LUNA! Imperial Oatmeal Stout that was chocolaty, toffee heaven with a touch of coffee.

If you'd rather a pilsner, their classic Old Gold will hit the spot!

Their chefs come up with some amazing specials. The special I had was the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla. grilled and crisp jalapeño cheese tortilla filled with peri peri chicken, crumbled bacon, purple haze ranch slaw and melty oaxacan cheese served with a their signature side salad!

All in all, the food was a 10, the beer selection was a 10, service was a 12 (is that a thing?) and a 10 for atmosphere. Go check them out on Facebook and Give them a like!

OK foodies,
It's date night and you don't know where to go? Want 5 star quality food at amazing prices? Try Gibbons! We are never disappointed! If it's just for drinks and something light or an intimate night, they've got you. We always try something new so no true favorites yet. Great staff (Seth was amazing) great atmosphere and decadent food options.
What we had:
Mahi Mahi Alexander; grilled Mahi smothered in sautéed shrimp in a cream sauce with marinated crab claws over a bed of rice.

North Atlantic salmon; covered in a champagne lemon sauce over rice.

Both entrées came with two sides. The green beans are on point.

If you get anything, you MUST try their whipped potatoes!!! Moby wanted to take home a gallon. They are that good....

Ok foodies,
It's time to tell you about the folks that have rejuvenated the East Bank District.... Flying Heart Brewing & Pub These gents turned an old fire station into the best pizza and brewery! Great place for larger groups, great staff, outdoor dining or just to hang out with friends. Here's what we had:

-Philly Cheesesteak stromboli, washed it down with maybe a few 6 of Hearts (Moby's favorite)
- Margherita pizza
- you have to try their hot, soft pretzel!!!

you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. BTW, they now have THREE locations. Bossier, West Monroe and now in historic Natchitoches. Check it out and tell is what you think!

Ok foodies,
Today we bring you a staple in Bossier City... Notini's Italian Restaurant ! Home of Wednesday's all you can eat spaghetti for only $4.99! Plain sauce, meat sauce, huge meatballs you can't go wrong. You've gotta try their muffuletta! With a friendly and great staff, we will definitely be going back. Give them a try and tell us what you think.

Ok foodies,
I know there are some military folks on here. I want to bring you to another place that's not in the 318 but.... If you find yourself TDY or in Rapid City, South Dakota, make sure you stop in at Sickies Garage - Rapid City. Great burger joint with a good local brew selection. What I had:

- Jameson burger brisket, bacon, cheese. burger with a tangy Jameson bbq sauce with a side of cole slaw.
- my buddy ordered their loaded mac n cheese with tots.... that was a heaping helping of both!

All in all, great service, great atmosphere, huge servings at a great price!

If you're looking for an intimate spot to take your better half, try Bella Fresca ! HUGE wine selection, De-licious menu options and great service! What we had:

- MARTINI'S!!!!
- fried calamari drizzled in a sweet chili sauce
- Bella wedge salad w/Greek goddess dressing
- juicy filet resting on a bed of garlic mash, covered in shaved asparagas

Honestly, it doesnt matter what you order, everything is delicious! It's our go-to for date night.

Get out, enjoy what the area has to offer and support local!

Ok foodies,
If you're looking for a classic dinner and a movie date night, look no further than Abby Singer's Bistro a cornerstone in downtown Shreveport. Great atmosphere for drinks or even indulge in one of Chef Tootie's creations! What we had:

- Burger of the month: goat cheese stuffed portobello on a bed of spinach, tomato, red onion and jalapeno aioli

- Monti Cristo: the best ham,turkey and swiss on texas toast, deep fried, powder sugar dusted and drizzled with honey sandwich you will ever have!

- Grilled fish tacos: pickled cabbage, fresh sliced jalapenos, avocado, cilantro and a pineapple pico de gallo.

-the waitstaff was excellent and the martini's were devine!

We finished the night with beer and popcorn enjoying a movie at THE Robinson Film Center ! The staff was super awesome and made for a great date night memory! So check them out!

Ok folks,
I know it's not in the 318 but, if you're ever in Broken Bow, Ok you have to stop in Greatful Head Pizza Oven And Tap Room The food is delicious and the atmosphere on the patio is perfection for this time of year. Our server Kimberly was freaking perfect! Here's what we had:

- Cheese sticks (of course)
- Psychedelic Supremo (what we call throw the fridge at it) great crust, fresh toppings and ooey gooey cheese!

I know these are a chain but this one is special. Check it out if you're in this neck of the woods!
