Not too many women I know love camping but I do. My mom used to take me and my sisters camping by herself often. It seemed perfectly normal to me as a child but now I realize that was nearly superhuman! Camping is where I go to refuel and get alone with God. Sometimes he and I wrestle over things but I usually come to terms with the fact that he is God and I am not and I just have to trust him.

My sweetheart of a husband is building me an obstacle coarse. I’m not really a gym person. The outdoors is much more my jam. I can’t even do one pull up but that’s going to change. The kids are having a blast with the thing and definitely outdoing me! #2024

It’s Jan 2,2024! Time to set new goals and aspirations. I’m hoping January 1 and s no indication of how the year is going to go because it was a doozy of a day! I’ve got some serious muscle building goals this year. I’ve hit a plateau in my fitness for the last couple of years. I’m really hoping to level up this year. I’m also planning to take care of myself first this year. I’ve been a mom for 32 years now and we moms tend to put ourselves last! I’ve been thinking a lot about it lately and realize it’s not anyone’s responsibility to take care of me except for me! I’m turning fifty in February and I’m going to turn this around. I’m documenting my journey here if you’d like to follow.
