This year my gingerbread cookies were featured at Ballet Tucson's Sugar Plum Tea. In preparing 325 handmade gingerbread cookies for the Ballet's annual event I had cookies stacked everywhere, each cookie calling to be uniquely decorated.

Already thinking about making stuffing for Dinner? We offer a Gluten Free Poultry Seasoning Stuffing bread that has the flavors of Thanksgiving baked right into it! Currently available at the Thursday Sierra Vista Farmers Market, on Saturday at our kiosk inside the Convention Center, and on Sunday at the St Philip's Plaza Farmers Market in Tucson.

Did you know that not all Halloween candy is gluten free? The Brown Bag Cookie Company supports THE TEAL PUMPKIN PROJECT and will have non candy items available for the kids at The Sierra Vista Farmers Market and St. Philip's Plaza Farmers Market. Look for the teal pumpkin!

Start a new tradition this Halloween: paint a pumpkin teal and place it on your porch as a sign to other families managing food allergies that you have non-food treats available at your home. It might be mid-month September, but there is still time to make the switch to gluten free breads using tips and information from the Oldways Grains Council.

The Whole Grains Council is a nonprofit consumer advocacy group that helps consumers find whole grain foods and understand their health benefits; helps manufacturers create delicious whole grain products; and helps the media write accurate, compelling stories about whole grains.

Tomorrow is our Gluten Free Tasting Event at the Landmark (400 W. Fry Blvd., Sierra Vista). Come sample delicious gluten free items from the Landmark, Chef Scotty, Soup Sisters and of course, The Brown Bag Cookie Company. Sampling includes pastas, gourmet soups, bakery items and desserts; all 100% gluten free. Event starts at 11am and ends at 3pm. Hope to see you there!
