Rotting Logs Farm

Rotting Logs Farm Visit our blog @ rottinglogsfarm.blogspot.com With this upgrade, we hope to experiment with other gourmet mushrooms in the near future.

Our goal is to provide North Carolina families, restaurants, farmers' markets, and grocery stores with a reliable, sustainable, and year-round source of fresh, organic, and locally grown shiitake mushrooms. Since 2007, our farm has grown shiitake mushrooms on oak and other various hardwood logs, although only seasonally. Thanks to a grant from the Rural Advancement Foundation International-USA (ht

tp://www.rafiusa.org), and the generous support of Dr. Omoanghe "Omon" Isikhuemhen (http://www.ag.ncat.edu/omon/index.html) of North Carolina A & T University, we have just completed construction on an indoor facility to allow for year-round cultivation. We look forward to sharing our story with you...stay tuned!
