As we wind down kidding and calving season, we thought it would be the perfect time to announce that we are officially in the upland hunting business. If it's a pheasant or a chocolate dog, we will probably talk your ear off about it.
2025 was our trial year to actually see if there was a demand for pheasants in our area. We hatched 300 of our own pheasants and sold out before the end of the year. For 2026, our goal is to hatch around 1,000 pheasants. We will have updated pricing and possibly pre-order discount information coming in the spring.
The dogs....If you know us, you probably know, Star, our chocolate lab. Star has a drive that is unmatched and earned her seasoned title in May. She is just one of them dogs that lives to work and thrives in environments where she has to think for herself. STAY TUNED FOR AN EXCITING STAR ANNOUNCEMENT COMING SOON. As we got more passionate into upland hunting, we made the decision to get a couple more dogs, to give Star much deserved breaks. Meet Lewcy & Kasey, a fun and chaotic pair of Boykin Spaniels. These little brown dogs have been a blesssing to our family and in 2027, we hope to share them with yours.
This past year was such an eye opener with the support and friendships we made. We will be forever humble to those that have got us where we are at today. That being said, stay tuned, because this is just the beginning......
