Now that the dust has settled from our fair, I'd like to give some updates.

In 2023, we approached the fairboard asking to allow goats to be shown starting in 2024. They agreed, with stipulations but it was a start.

I thought I would share some numbers just to show progress.

2024 - 3 exhibitors, 4 market goats shown
❗️In 2024 only grand and reserve could be sold at auction.

2025- 6 exhibitors, 10 market goats shown
‼️2025 exhibitors had to choose between goats and a second species. They could not show goats and cattle or goats and swine, etc.

2026- 12 exhibitors, 20 market goats shown
❤️This year had no restrictions!

For 3 years, numbers have doubled! Incredible growth showing just how popular goats have become.

The exciting part is hearing the talk of even more exhibitors saying they'll be bringing up goats the next year 🙌🏻

Numbers for breeding stock have been fantastic 🤠
I don't have exact numbers for the breeding show but I can roughly say that since 2024, 30-40 goats have been shown each year with a few more added each year.

We are so blessed to be a part of this growing journey and can't wait to see how this special opportunity for our youth continues to play out!
