As many of you know, we have been inactive for some time now. With that being said, we decided to shut down Jacked BBQ. It was not an easy decision as BBQ is my passion. However, it was in the best interest of my family to part from it. We will be available for private catering and competitions still!
I am not blaming anyone for our closure other than myself. But, I want to give a warning to small business owners in Siloam Springs and surrounding areas. It is not easy. In fact it was nearly impossible to succeed when we are either getting trashed by Pork Bellys on Facebook, or getting our posts on What's Up, Siloam? Declined for 7 months and were unable to post to advertise our business. This was the same for my wife who is a photographer. There is a niche in this town and if you don't know the right people, you will have your work cut out for you.
With the current economy, everything is expensive and it's hard for many businesses to make money to support themselves. While Siloam sees it best to bring in franchise businesses, I sincerely urge you to continue to support your local business like Pork Bellys, Griffin's Food Court, and many others. Siloam is making it harder for the small people, all in the name of money.
I hope everyone enjoyed the food while we were able to provide it. I don't want anyone to feel as if we are blaming anyone for our problems. Ultimately it is my fault for failing and no one else's. I did, however, feel obligated to warn anyone looking to start a business in the area.
Until Next Time!
