This year we celebrate 47 consecutive Bull Sales hosted at WLA! This year’s sale date will also mark 70 years since the first ever auction held at the Willcox Livestock Auction! We can’t wait to share this history with YOU! Join us for this year’s event!
“Willcox Livestock Auction is the oldest running livestock auction in Arizona. When Sonny Shores SR., my dad, took over the WLA back in the 70's, he noticed a need for better genetics. Ranchers at that time, were still trading bull calves. He decided that he would make a way to bring better bulls to the ranchers locally and much more conveniently which is how the bull sale here at Willcox Livestock Auction got started. Since then, now 47 years later, we have seen a huge transition in the quality of cattle in our area overall because of the upgrade in genetics. We plan to pursue this annual sale in order to continue this trend of great cattle as well as serving our valued customers and local ranching families with the convenience of top-notch bulls to choose from right here at their local auction barn! In addition to our bull sale, this particular year also marks 70 years of live sales at the Willcox livestock auction!”
