This Saturday I will be hosting a small workshop where you can learn how to make your own wild fermented soda. We will work with Ginger, pine needles, herbs and wild berries and craft our own nonalcoholic beverages to enjoy for the summer months. Space is limited. Event information in the comments.

Honey is full of potent medicine. Don’t make syrups by cooking 1 part honey with 1 part water. Rather you simmer your berries roots and herbs then strain and let them cool down some. Then add equal parts honey and stir. 🍯🌅🌿💚

It’s like all the birds join together in welcoming a new day of life. They taper off after 10-15 minutes but when the full chorus is singing it is so beautiful to witness. What if we could all start our days together with positive affirmations and songs of joyous praise to be able to savor another day of life? This whole Earth would vibrate differently. Makes you wonder.

These black locust blossoms are all out right now and anytime you get near a tree with these cascading white flowers you’ll know immediately. Their delicate floral notes definitely add to the quality level of our local honey in this region. We are lucky to be able to use such delicious honey for our meads and oxymels. 🍯🥂

When we use ingredients that only come out during particular seasons, it by default will align us with the rhythms of Nature. Every spring, I cherish the opportunity to work with the wild violets, and we make simple syrups, popsicles, sometimes a small batch of mead or two, and sometimes we just throw the flowers and leaves into our salads! What are some of the things that you love to find and use during the spring time?
