This weekend will mark TWO YEARS having MA's Farm Stand! How should we celebrate?

Let's talk about animals.
I've had a lot of people asking if we're going to keep having milk at the stand or people upset that there were no eggs at the stand when they visited. I understand the frustration.

I can't make my chickens lay more eggs and I'm not going to push my cow to produce more milk.

Chickens are going to lay when they want. There's not much I can do about that. As for the cow, she was severely underweight when we got her and pregnant. Putting weight on Mabel and ensuring the calf has everything it needs is our first priority.

Buying straight from a small farm has several advantages like getting the freshest milk and eggs possible but it also means feeling more of the waves like the farmer does.

If you buy your milk and eggs from Walmart you likely will never have to feel the difficulties the farmer feels.

We love being able to offer fresh milk, eggs, and even produce to our community but we are not a commercial farm. We lose produce to weather, animals, etc. We don't push our animals to produce like huge farms. So if you buy from us please be patient and understand that we are working with live animals and their health comes first.

If you've made it this far, please note that we will only have milk for another month. Mabel will be going on maternity leave to prepare for her next calf.
