Hello, my name is Hayden Hamilton and this is my hog Penguin, who is a belted crossbred barrow. You can come to the Kitsap Junior Livestock Auction at the Kitsap fair and stampede on August 29th at 12:00pm at the swine ring to purchase my hog or donate to my project. I would like you to come to the Auction and bid on my hog because he has a large belly a well marbled loin and a very well-rounded ham and shoulder. He has all of these traits because I have walked him daily, which has Made more meat in his shoulders. I also feed him a well-Balanced diet. My goal this year wasto go to a few shows before fair. At those shows I have learned better handling techniques. Next year I want to keep showing and keep improving.

Hi, my name is Lydia, and I am auctioning a Duroc barrow that I helped deliver on our family farm. This is my first time auctioning. I have worked very hard to get this far by training, grooming, and showing him a lot this year. After helping my brother breed and raise his pigs for the last four years, I finally get to market one of my own. I hope you like my pig. I think he has great muscling and body structure. I would like you to come to the Kitsap Junior Livestock Auction on August 29th at 12:00 pm in the swine ring at the Kitsap Fair and Stampede. My pig will be for sale during the auction, as well as lots of other animals. If you cannot make it, you can still help me by making a donation to my project. I will use what I earn to buy another pig next year and pay my entry fees for more shows. I really enjoy showing!

We fill the bleachers on Friday nights for football. We fill the bleachers on cold winter nights for basketball. We travel miles and miles, to sit in the bleachers for volleyball, baseball, softball, gymnastics, and dance.
Our Fair families would like to invite you to fill the bleachers on a warm summer day during county fair week and watch the kids who practice with a 1200 plus pound steer that doesn’t always want to walk, a 140 pound lamb that doesn’t want to get on the stand for the 100th time, a 280 pound hog that just wants to stay in the cool barn, the 1000 pound horse with a mind of its own or a stubborn goat that doesn’t like the chain.
Come check out Exhibit Hall for all the non-livestock exhibitors. Those kids have heart and dedication and put hours into their creations.
Let’s fill the bleachers, barns, and buildings at your local County Fair and let them know that their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and because of them, the future of the agriculture and leadership is in good hands.

This exciting event is happening again this August. Our kids will be joining their friends to sell their projects!

Join us this year for the 2026 Kitsap Junior Livestock Auction. We have an excited group of youth ready to share their passion, hard work, and tasty product with you! If you have a freezer, a passion for supporting your community, or respect for extremely hardworking youth, you need to check out this awesome event!

It is held annually during the Kitsap Fair and Stampede in the auction/swine ring. Animals are presented by species, starting with beef and ending with swine. Your support and contributions make it possible for kids to learn even more by purchasing next year's projects, saving for college, and giving them a jumpstart on their future.

Kids in the auction organization start an animal just after weaning, have to feed them at a very specific growth rate, provide their care and proper health needs, train them for exhibition, and then market their animal in the community in the hopes of finding a few buyers for an exciting auction lot!
