Fresh Cucumbers will be at the Market this Saturday! leroux creek nursery just picked over 100 fresh cucumbers in their green house, get your FIRST local Cucumber at the Montrose Farmers Market, THIS SATURDAY!!! That is only... 12.5 hours from the farm to your hand! Wow, you can't get any fresher than that... well unless you grow your own :)

Native Plant Enthusiasts!!

Learn Identification, human and ecological relationships about Native Plants.
Have you always wanted to learn how to identify the beautiful plants that grow in nature? Would you like to learn more about using them in your landscape?

Attend our 2013 Local Native Plant Classes:

May 18-Confluence of the
Dolores and San Miguel Rivers, Uravan
Time: 9-4 pm, All Day Field Trip
Cost: $25, Register before May 10th

July 12, 19, 26-Lizard Head Trail, Telluride
3 Sessions, consecutive Fridays
Time: 8:30 am-12:30
Cost: $90, Register before June 1st
Colorado Flora Certificate option

**For Both programs, bring water, lunch, sunscreen, hat, raincoat, dress in layers and bring a magnifying lens!** More information will be sent when we get your enrollment.

HAPPY WINTER!!!
The Colorado State University Extension Office in San Miguel and West Montrose Counties is thrilled to announce that we are now accepting applications for our 13 week Food Growing Series.

This program is geared towards our local gardening conditions. It will be taught by CSU Extension Professionals and local experts.

The course begins on March 7 and runs through June 6. It will take place at the Placerville Firehouse every Thursday from 6 pm till 8:30 pm. Registration is due February 27, 2013.

WHEN:
Thursdays, March 7 through June 6
6 pm till 8:30 pm
WHERE: Placerville Fire Station
COST: $150/for all 13 classes or $25/class
Pre-registration and pre-payment required.
For the 13 week course, registration
is due by February 27. For
single classes, registration is due
