King Fresh began in 2007 as a fresh produce business, attending farmers markets and having a farm stand.

That year, King Family Farms Inc planted their first hazelnut orchard. As a mother-daughter team, we purchased hazelnuts from the family's farm and began processing in 2015. In the beginning, we sorted nut meats from shells at the kitchen table and later got the family's kitchen certified to start roasting and packaging. We have since outgrown the house kitchen and have built a commercial kitchen,

office and warehouse, where we are vertically integrated right her at the farm. This will allow the fifth generation to come back and carry on the family's farming legacy. We are extremely proud to say that we have developed all of our own recipes that maintain the nutritional value of the nut, and ones you won't find anywhere else, while producing a high quality product that consumers will love. We feel very fortunate to not just work together but also have our kids at work with us, learning the value of hard work and gaining a passions for agriculture.

Roth’s was one of our first retail stores that we got our hazelnuts into. This was way back when we still worked out of JoAnn’s house kitchen, in the Fall of 2017. The Silverton Roth’s store took a chance on us and ordered sixteen cases!

Today, Roth’s is one of our best and most loyal accounts. This is just ONE month’s worth of cases going to Silverton Roth’s 🙌🏼 go support them! The Silverton store carries every flavor of our hazelnuts in the 6/8oz size!

Today we grabbed a “pat on the back” coffee ☕️😆

For the fourth year in a row we ranked in the high 90s, with a 98%, on our Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices unannounced audit 👋🏼

This audit goes much deeper than our kitchen being clean and sanitized. It delves into every aspect of our facility being safe, clean, and having a fresh and safe product that goes out our door.

We have a log and policy for everything from pounds of nuts roasted in a day, to who swept the floor, to tracing every drop of ingredient used, to the walk in cooler being locked, to the correct utensils used, to the time and temp of each batch of nuts roasted… and everything in between 😂

And this audit makes sure we are checking every detail in every fine printed box to ensure you receive a good quality product!

We’ve come a long way from roasting in JoAnn’s house kitchen! We’ve learned so many things that we didn’t even know needed to be learned 🙌🏼

We thank you for your encouragement and support as we have grown this business exponentially over the last 10 years!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mom/JoAnn 🥳🩷🎈!!! We hope you had the best day off today!!

Something you all may not know about our mom is, yes she’s an amazing quilter and seamstress!! BUT she’s also quite the gardener!! She has a beautiful dahlia garden each year. In the second picture she’s separating dahlia bulbs with Soraya, one of her seventeen grandchildren 🩷.

FORTY THREE years married today!! Our sisters, brother and us have had such a prime example of what a healthy, balanced, loving marriage and family is and we are so thankful for that! We feel fortunate to have grown up on a farm and now to work with you! Both of you have instilled such a work ethic in us, but also the importance of loving what we do! Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad 🩵
