Baking for tomorrow’s last St. Matthews Farmers Market of 2026. 🥖❤️

It’s bittersweet.

I love the quietness of the bakery at night and especially the smell of fresh bread coming from the oven. There’s something so peaceful about it, and I know I’ll surely miss this until the next season comes around.

But most of all, I want to say thank you to all of you who have faithfully come week after week to buy our bread and support our little bakery. Your support means more to us than you know.

Every loaf has been made with so much love, and it has been such a blessing to see our bread become part of your tables and your homes.

Tomorrow is the last one for 2026. Come grab your bread, say hello, and help us make this final market day a special one.

HELP US MAKE IT RIGHT!!!

We want to sincerely apologize if you purchased one of our sourdough loaves today and found that it was underbaked inside or smaller than it should have been.

Today we were training a new baker, and I wasn’t there to supervise as closely as I normally would. While we’re committed to teaching the next generation of artisan bakers, we also know that every loaf carrying our name should meet the standard you expect from us.

If your loaf wasn’t right, please send us a private message with a photo, and we’ll gladly replace it with a fresh loaf at no charge next week.

Thank you for your patience, your grace, and for supporting a small family bakery as we continue to grow and train new hands. We truly appreciate your understanding and the trust you place in us every week.

Fresh-baked bread is waiting for you at Beargrass Farmers Market today from 8 AM–12 PM!

We’ll have a limited number of loaves available, so come early for the best selection.

Also featured today: our Bake-Your-Own Garlic Bread. We start with a full loaf of our sourdough bread and top it with butter, fresh garlic, herbs from our garden, and seasoning, ready for you to take home and bake to golden perfection.

Each package contains the equivalent of one whole loaf of bread (a $10 value) plus butter, garlic, herbs, and seasoning already prepared for you.

Fresh Bread at Beargrass Market Today!

We’ve got fresh loaves available today at Beargrass Farmer’s Market, and some are even pre-sliced for your convenience!

A friendly reminder: our bread is made without preservatives, so it’s best enjoyed fresh.

We recommend slicing what you’ll use over the next few days and freezing the rest for future enjoyment.

When you’re ready for more, simply take a few slices from the freezer, let them thaw, and toast. The bread comes right back to life with a crisp crust and delicious flavor, just like fresh baked.

Stock up today and keep a little fresh bread on hand whenever you need it!
