The public hearing on Application No. CC26-02 (Hartford South) for the proposed large-scale apartment development on Hopmeadow Street has officially closed, but there is still an opportunity to make your voice heard.
The Conservation Commission is continuing its review, and written comments may still be submitted. If you choose to send comments, be sure to request that:
• Your comments are distributed to each Conservation Commissioner.
• Your comments are entered into the official public record.
The Commission's next meeting is a virtual meeting on June 16, and discussion of the application may occur during Commission business. Because the Conservation Commission's jurisdiction is limited, it is important that all comments focus specifically on conservation, wetlands, water resources, environmental impacts, and related concerns.
If you have not yet submitted comments, please do so as soon as possible. Continued public engagement is critical to ensuring that the Commission fully considers the potential environmental impacts of this proposal before making its decision.
Stay informed. Stay engaged. Keep the pressure on and encourage the Commission to make the right decision for the future of our town.
