Unfortunately, the instrumentation at SDSU’s food safety lab is experiencing some interference from the high alcohol content. They found a reference lab that uses a different methodology more suited for these samples. Hopefully I will get some results back next week! Cheers, and Happy Mother’s Day weekend!

I decided the consistency of these extracts were a little too thick when using one pound per bottle. I’m going to cut the amount in half, along with the price. Also, the SDSU food safety lab wants me to add more alcohol to get the water activity down to 0.83. Right now I’m sitting at 0.87. This will take another week to make fresh batches and have it tested, unfortunately. We will still have some lions mane powder extract available this weekend! Cheers

It can be hard to know exactly what you’re getting when buying a mushroom extract. At Dakota Mushrooms we make it easy! We do small batches using 12lbs of mushrooms(fruiting bodies). I reduce the final product to fill exactly 12 bottles. So, if my math is correct, each bottle contains the equivalent of 1 pound of fresh mushrooms:) I am making these available for the first time on Saturday, May 2nd, at all our local farmers’ markets.
