November’s pick for Banned & Brewed is Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews — a novel that’s been challenged in libraries and schools for over forty years, and still gets talked about like it happened yesterday.

It’s the story of four siblings locked away in an attic by their own mother and grandmother, and what that isolation does to a family over time. It’s uncomfortable by design, and it’s been uncomfortable to enough people, for enough different reasons, that it’s never really stopped being banned somewhere.

Some b**rs make you stop mid-sip and just... appreciate the moment. This is one of those b**rs.

Pineapple Beanie is a pineapple and vanilla bean fruited sour ale that wastes absolutely no time. Juicy, vibrant pineapple hits first — bright, playful, and loaded with flavor. Then the vanilla bean settles in like it owns the place, silky and indulgent, wrapping the whole thing in a sweetness that makes every sip better than the last.

At 5% ABV it's sessionable enough to justify a second pour and crushable enough that you absolutely will. This is the b**r that turns a Friday afternoon into something worth celebrating.

UNLEASH THE POWER OF DISCUSSION 📚💡
Sterling, New Hampshire, is a town where nothing happens. Then, a seventeen-year-old who has been bullied since kindergarten walks into the high school, and nineteen minutes later ten people are dead.

Jodi Picoult gives the rest of the book to the ones left standing in the wreckage — the shooter's mother, the judge given the case, the girl who used to be his best friend. Every one of them is certain they know what happened. None of the stories line up.

That's the part people can't handle. Not the violence — the discomfort of being asked to look closely at a kid the whole town had already decided not to see. It's a hard book. It should be. Stories like this one are how we practice understanding people we'd rather write off.

This one never got the memo.

Inside Voice is our newest hazy IPA, and it has nothing to hide — tropical fruit up front, mango and melon, riding a soft, pillowy finish that makes the 7.5% ABV dangerously easy to underestimate. Dry-hopped until it stopped whispering entirely.
Some things just don't stay classified. This is one of them.

You asked for it. The Say Cheese series — one of the most beloved things to ever come out of this taproom — returns this Friday, and we are coming in hot.

Lemon Say Cheese is a lemon cheesecake sour ale that hits like a dessert and drinks like a dream. The lemon charges in first, electric and mouth-watering, waking up every single taste bud you have. Then the cheesecake takes over — velvety, rich, and indulgently creamy — turning the whole experience into something you'll be thinking about long after the glass is empty.
