We’re so excited to officially launch SproutCraft Sessions, a brand-new series of small-group art and nature experiences for kids ages 9–12! 🌿 https://sproutcraft.theprairiebears.biz/

Each session blends:
🌿 Hands-on art projects
🌼 Outdoor exploration
📚 Simple, engaging learning about plants and nature
🎨 A tangible project to take home every time

Here’s the basics:
✨ 6 weeks, 6 different projects
✨ Small group sessions of just 4–5 students
✨ $50 per session
✨ All supplies included
✨ Choose as many or as few sessions as you’d like

Our first featured session is designing and decorating an Outdoor Journal so each child can record what they see, smell, touch, and discover. 📓🍃

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday sessions each offer different projects throughout the season, and you can also add Wacky Wednesdays — our open garden arts lab featuring guided, choose-your-own-adventure style creative projects.

All four soups this month are vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free — and every 16 oz serving comes with homemade seasoned tortilla strips (corn or flour) for topping.

Pickup is Thursdays, 8am–7pm • $8 per 16 oz • Packaged in 16 oz and 32 oz mason jars

Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. After a little January respite, the Soup Series returns in February. This month’s lineup is all vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free — and every 16 oz serving comes with homemade seasoned tortilla strips (corn or flour) for topping.

Hello friend! I’m dreaming up a new summer endeavor for 2026 called SproutCraft Sessions, and before I lock anything in I would really love your thoughts. SproutCraft Sessions are small-group art and nature workshops in our home garden here in the Cathedral neighborhood. Kids would come for about 90-120 minutes, make art, explore the garden, learn a bit about plants and where food comes from, and enjoy a simple healthy snack. Since this is brand new, I am especially hoping to hear from those of you who: Have kids or grandkids; Work with kids; Or just know lots of people with kids. :-D

I would love your honest feedback on things like: Is this the kind of thing you could see a kid in your life enjoying? Do any particular sessions stand out as especially fun or not so exciting? Price and timing. Anything you would want to know before signing up a kid? Any concerns about safety, group size, age range, sensory needs, or accessibility? Any project ideas you would love to see included? If SproutCraft sounds like something you or someone you know might be interested in, or if you are willing to share your thoughts, you can: Comment or DM me directly with your feedback.

Week 1 – Creamy Roasted Acorn Squash Bisque -- A silky, golden bisque made from slow-roasted acorn squash, herbs, and coconut milk. Smooth, cozy, and naturally sweet.

Week 2 – Roasted Mushroom & Thyme Soup -- Deeply savory roasted mushrooms simmered with aromatics, herbs, and a touch of miso for richness.

Week 3 – Creamy Tuscan Bean & Spinach Soup -- A velvety cannellini bean base blended with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, coconut milk, and Italian herbs.

Week 4 – Lentil Stew -- A hearty, homestyle lentil stew with potatoes, vegetables, turmeric, thyme, and a bright squeeze of lemon.
