In addition to being sold in our shop, my letterpress items are now available at wholesale on Faire, with more to come. (Local businesses, just call the shop if you're interested.) I am still working on a retail website, which is kind of a slog, frankly. Hopefully in the next handful of weeks I will launch it.
I have shared with many of our customers quite a bit of the crazy adventure I went on in 2025 to get the presses and umpteen cabinets of type from Memphis to Door County, but for those of who have not heard the tale, I describe it like this: American Pickers meets a Coen Bros. film. A stunning collection of all things letterpress, moved by 5 men (four of whom were total strangers out of Chicago and quite the characters) and me. It took us 5 days to load, transport, and unload, working past midnight on 3 of the nights...and countless hours on my part dealing with the aftermath of a fast unloading. All told, I bet it was close to 30,000 lbs of stuff.
By some miracle it all made it here safely and the early 1900's cast iron presses and beautiful cuts are being given a new life. It makes my heart happy when the ink reveals the old images produced by artists of long ago.
Fun fact: The last owners of the presses were women--one a commercial printer who was active in Washington, DC before moving things to Memphis (she is now in memory care) and another is a fine artist in Memphis. I think of them every time I print something.
In addition to making greeting cards, I have the capability of printing stationery, invitations, and such and I can imprint paper bags for businesses. I have yet to try coasters and napkins but I imagine those will just be a matter of dialing things in for those materials. Plates can be made for your logo or artwork and printed on my press--just ask me about it!
Cheers!
