We’re making a little more room for what matters.

For the next couple of months, Luckey’s Woodsman will be closed Mondays + Tuesdays.

September is bringing something pretty special for our family as we get ready to welcome our baby girl, and after a very full season, we’re creating a little more space to prepare for home.

These extra days will also give our crew time to rest, reset, and come back sharper — with more time to prep intentionally and keep the quality of what we put on the plate where it should be.

We’ve always believed hospitality shouldn’t come at the expense of the people providing it. Sometimes taking care of the work means taking care of the people behind it.

For now, you can find us Wednesday–Sunday, rested, ready, and grateful to feed you.

90s kids… you already know. 🌮🍫🍦

The Choco Taco was one of my all-time favorite desserts growing up. When they discontinued it a few years back, I was legitimately bummed.

So naturally, I started making my own.

And the more I think about it… is there a more outdoorsy dessert than a Choco Taco?!

No plate. No fork. Grab it with one hand and crush it after a day on the trail, river, mountain or wherever your adventure took you.

Our version gets dipped in 60% cacao chocolate and then things get fun — crushed M&M’s, pistachios, coconut flakes and whatever else we decide to throw at them.

Which brings me to the important question:

CENTRAL OREGON — SHOULD WE PUT CHOCO TACOS ON THE MENU?!

Six years ago, we started bringing Luckey’s back to life.

What began as a little food truck, a lot of hard work, and an old family name has grown into something we could have never built on our own: a community.

This anniversary wasn’t just about celebrating 70 years of Luckey’s. It was about looking around and seeing the people who have helped carry this legacy into its next chapter.

The friends who showed up when we were cooking out of the truck. The people who followed us into the restaurant. The musicians who filled the street. The farmers, makers, firefighters, neighbors, employees, regulars, and complete strangers who became friends somewhere along the way.

You showed up for the pig roast. You threw what you could into the pot. You danced. You ate. You laughed. You filled this place with exactly the kind of energy we always hoped Luckey’s could create.

70 years later, we’re still gathering around the fire. 🔥

We may be the ones tending it now, but this legacy belongs to everyone who keeps showing up around it.

From our family to yours — thank you, Sisters.

Here’s to the people who came before us, the community standing beside us, and whatever comes next.

🏆 LUCKEY’S WOODSMAN WON BEST NACHOS! 🏆

It’s official. The Source Weekly’s Best of Central Oregon results are in, and Luckey’s Woodsman took home BEST NACHOS — and we couldn’t be more proud to be the first restaurant ever to win the category. 🌲🧀🏔️

We’re also incredibly proud to have earned:
🥈 Runner-Up — Best Caterer, Central Oregon
🥈 Runner-Up — Best Restaurant, Sisters
🥈 Runner-Up — Best Lunch, Sisters

And those three runner-up honors are back-to-back, after earning them last year as well. That means a hell of a lot to our little crew.

We couldn’t make tonight’s awards ceremony because, fittingly, we were out catering. So instead, we figured we’d celebrate by sharing one of our proudest (and most ridiculous) nacho moments yet:

🔥 PIG #7 IS GOING ON THE FIRE. 🔥

August 15th is shaping up to be one hell of a celebration.

We’re firing up our 7th whole hog of the season at 3PM, and this one means a little more. The pig roast is PAY WHAT YOU CAN, with funds going to the Hold the Line Fund to support folks displaced by wildfires, along with firefighters and first responders out there doing the hard work.

And the music? We’ve got some seriously good people joining us:

This is our 70-year Luckey’s legacy celebration, and we want to fill the place with friends, neighbors, old faces and new ones.

Bring a chair if you want to hang awhile — we have a feeling this one might get FULL.

70 years in the making. 🍻🔥

On August 1, 1956, my grandparents opened the original Luckey’s Restaurant. They had no idea they were starting a legacy that would still be bringing people together seven decades later.

While our official anniversary falls on August 1, we’re throwing one big celebration on Saturday, August 15—and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Join us for an afternoon of great food, live music, cold drinks, and community as we celebrate:

❤️ HOLD THE LINE UPDATE ❤️

When we first launched Hold the Line, we hoped we’d never have to use it.

Unfortunately, that time has come.

This Friday, we were supposed to celebrate Citizens for Communities’ anniversary with a pig roast. After talking with their team, we all agreed that now isn’t the time for celebration while so many families are living with the uncertainty these fires have brought to Central Oregon.

Instead, we’re turning that pig roast into something bigger.

Together with our friends at Lazy Z Ranch Wines of Sisters, Oregon (right off Highway 20), we’re inviting our community to gather for one purpose: taking care of each other.
