We just wrapped up our 17th season and are already planning for next year. The garlic goes in next week, job offers go out to all our fabulous team members, and we just purchased our "community supported seed membership" with High Mowing to cover all the seeds that we don't save here on the farm.

The beauty of the fall rush

There's a particular kind of beauty to this time of year on the farm. There's also a particular kind of madness.

We're gathering everything we can before the cold settles in. Counting the squash, the cabbage, the carrot bags and more. Inspecting everything for damage. Bringing in the last of this, the last of that. Trying to keep track of what's ready, what's still curing, and what needs to be dealt with right now before we lose our chance.

And somehow, in the middle of all that, I find myself constantly in awe.

Look at all this food. Look at all the work that's gone into getting it here. Look at the sheer amount of life we've managed to grow in this place.

We've been roasting tomatoes by the trayful, turning the summer's abundance into sauce to be tucked away and enjoyed in the dead of winter. There's something deeply satisfying about it. All this work now, for a meal months from now, when the garden is sleeping.

Life is good. Busy and a little chaotic. But so good. And our finish line is insight. Cheers to that!

CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY!

We love opening up the fields for you to bring your friends, fam, kiddos for a dig in the dirt. There are all sorts of things to glean out there and we encourage you to come enjoy the vibes.
The farm store will be open and we'll have meaty chili, a vegan squash soup, biscuits, and cookies for a nourishing lunch.
***Remember to bring a knife and a shovel, bags and/or a wagon ***

Where does the time go? Summer is over already?

Twenty weeks ago you committed to eating from right here, Central Oregon. You committed to eating local, organic and from your community. You learned new recipes and you were open to new to new vegetables.

We canā€™t grow the food without your support. So, thank you. Thank you for your willingness to go on this local, organic, food adventure with us.

What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way to bring fresh, organic produce, meats, and grains directly from our farm to your table.

A CSA consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation. The growers and consumers provide mutual support and share the risks and benefits of food production.

Your CSA membership provides literal seed money and allows us to focus on the quality care of soils, crops, animals, co-workers, and of course, you. In return, you receive weekly or monthly shares of food you can trust!

We accept SNAP for buying a CSA! Plus, you get DUFB applied automatically. Check it out on our wesbite.
