Congratulations to Wendy LeGate on this adorable black or smokey black foundation Morgan foal born early this morning. Sired by OGO Primavera Dapper Gold and out of Wendy's treasured mare Flower of Bandita who is 21 years old this year! Bandita is also a daughter of the famous Morgan stallion Higuera Bandido. Good job mama and welcome to the world little one.

Ori is scheduled to be gelded tomorrow

It's bittersweet but he has several foals to carry on his bloodline. I decided I am going to keep him for now because I need a dedicated riding horse and this boy just had 60+ days of professional training with our friend Hillary Holman last fall. Fingers crossed we can get both of us in shape to make it to a local show or endurance ride this year 😄

Here's to all his future adventures as a gorgeous gelding!

Stardust was exposed to Pistol last year when she arrived in August but nobody ever saw any romance between them. We moved her to the young mare pasture in September when I started cancer treatments because we didn't want to have a foal born too late into the year. It can be hard on the girls nursing foals into Michigan winter. Stardust was looking pretty slim coming out of winter for a mare that should have a foal on board so I thought for sure we missed her last breeding season. Her baby bump recently made an appearance and I can make out foal movement in there. Super excited for this baby to arrive later in the summer.

Do you think he's going to be bigger than his mom?

Wanderlust Amarillo Sky at just over a month old. Pistol is really outdoing himself with the foals this year.

Sky is available and will be ready to go at weaning in August.
