One of my favorite movies as a child was Pollyanna. I think my love of chandeliers, crystals, and beautiful glass began there. Ever since, I’ve hung crystals anywhere I can catch the sunlight and watch it dance across a room. “The most Beautiful Room in the Entire World!!!”

Today, I spent the better part of the day in a 90-degree greenhouse carefully unstringing, cleaning, polishing, repairing, and restringing the crystals on this beautiful vintage chandelier. Soon it will hang in the center of the greenhouse, casting little rainbows throughout the garden.

What makes it even more special is its history. I purchased it from a lady who grew up right here in Six Mile, and it once hung in her mother’s home. There’s something meaningful about preserving a piece of local history. Knowing that this chandelier has been lovingly restored and will remain in Six Mile for others to enjoy brings me so much joy.

Sometimes the most beautiful things aren’t just the objects themselves, but the stories they carry with them. ✨💎🌿
