ated by Laura Brosius and Joseph Franich. Laura grew up in southeastern Michigan gardening and raising chickens with her family. Her love of the outdoors and concern for the environment led her to degrees in Environmental Science (B.S. University of Michigan) and Ecosystems Ecology (M.S. Post-graduation she found her calling - organic farming. Laura spent three happy summers biking to work at Rosie Creek Farm just down the road from her cabin in the woods in Ester, Alaska before packing up her life and dog to start a farm of her own on family land in Mantua, Ohio. Joseph grew up in mid-Michigan on a small family farm, where he learned the value of hard work early on. He was actively involved with cash crop production, growing vegetables, and raising livestock. After college Joseph moved to Alaska where he worked as a logistics coordinator and science support technician at a remote field station.
