First I can’t say thank you enough to the farm community! All of our phones were blowing up with offers of help. Thank you to the following fire departments Spafford, Borodino, Amber, and Skaneateles. If I missed one I’m sorry. There were a lot of trucks.
The fire was a small building about 12’x15’ but tall. We had a piston pump that moved manure through a pipe to our manure pond. There was also a big pressure washer, and a poly tote in the room.
Thankfully it was away from the other buildings.
Special thanks to our local volunteer firefighters. You guys and girls are amazing!

I will post on what happened. But we are ok. There was a fire at the farm. We lost a small building with a pump and a couple over things. But animals and people are good. Thank you for all the calls offering help

When you are fast asleep and get a call that there’s a fire you run. So thankful it was contained to the pasteurizer machine and didn’t spread to the rest of the calf barn.

Had a wonderful but crazy day Friday. Our farm had 30 Cornell Dairy Fellow Students running around our farm as a case study farm. They will present to us a their findings this week! Then an hour after they left the NYS Dairy and Livestock group showed up! 20 highschool students visited our farm. They met in our conference room for dinner and a get to know you game, then got a tour of our calf barn and rotary parlor by our kids, and then back to the conference for a very loud and fun game of spoons! It was great to see all of this young energy going into our Ag industry!
