We have a few kids looking wide this year. A few girls that we plan on keeping back ( depending on how they handle a good parasite load ) and a couple bucklings that are looking impressive! TTP Scout's Brut put some nice kids on the ground for us this year!

Kidding season has finally came to an end here at McCune Acres! We definitely learned a few things this time around. We had 1 singleton, who was a first freshener tagged 0101. We had 8 give us twins. Two of those needed help, with our goat Gitana having a stillborn. Two gave us Triplets, 0084 had a kid who needed a little extra help from us after birth. And our very own MAK Blizzard 0042 gave us 5 kids! Looks like we have a few becoming .

has finally started at McCune Acres! HRG Socks (Black) gave us two bucklings, while HRG Cinnamon (black/cream) gave us a buckling and doeling! Both Dams separated themselves, and are protective of thier kids. They have been cleaned up, and been getting milk. All of our were sired by our herdsire TTP Scout's Brut.

It's cold outside, but the animals are staying warm. Eddie has her little hole in the hay where she gets out of the elements, but prefers to play in the . The have a good amount of snow on their back. That is telling us that they are retaining all of their body heat. The are in the lean-to of the barn with . All have fresh water (cows have access to the creek that wasn't frozen) in their stock tanks. Now, let's hope the goats hold their in until after this cold snap.

The has slowed its growth. It's that time of year that we give a little grain every few days. With the grass dying out, the can use some supplements. We set out these fenceline feeders in a quarter circle, allowing us to feed without getting trampled from the and . It seems to work out great! And they are easily movable. That way, we can move them around when we move the stock.
