We grew shiitakes on logs! After 18 months of waiting, they have finally fruited. Really excited about this project! They taste great, so be sure to get some. I’m still learning this process, but I expect them to slow down very soon. Fortunately, they will bloom again and again over the next few years.

Fall crops are starting to come in, especially lots of fall greens like spinach, lettuce (yes, the popular head lettuce has returned—come early for best selection), gorgeous kales, Swiss chard, cabbage and the first radicchios.

A van full of other veg will be coming along as well.

Fall flowers are taking off!

We are set for a great dahlia season with roughly 2500 plants in the ground. They are looking the best I’ve seen in years with loads of buds and healthy foliage. We also planted a few other flowers for the fall lineup, especially a lot of beautiful cosmos. If you have wholesale flower needs, please reach out! You can find all of this a whole lot more through 3 Rivers Flower Cooperative. LOADS of dahlias still are available for wholesale purchase this week with Thursday pickup (in Lawrenceville) or Thursday morning delivery. Check it out!

It’s August and so much is happening on the farm these days. It’s hard to share it all with you on social media while also doing the actual work.

Butler city farmers market is tomorrow. We will be bringing so many delicious veggies, especially a lot of peppers and tomatoes. Some gorgeous beets will be accompanying also. We picked a lot of lettuce, but I’d recommend coming early for best selection. Hope to see you there! 8:30 - 12:30.

Join our farm crew! 🧑‍🌾👩‍🌾

We need help with summer and fall harvests and some other chores around the farm. Part time and full time help is available now through Thanksgiving. Priority needs are Tuesdays and Fridays. Must be able to work in the mornings when flowers and veggies are best picked fresh. More details are listed on our website. DM or email me with all inquiries and questions.

🥕🌽🍅🥬 We still have Senior Farm Market Vouchers remaining! Distribution Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (thru August or while supplies last) at our office, 215 N. Duffy Road, Butler. Participants are only eligible to receive one set of vouchers per person, annually.
