We're coming into peak tomato season. How do you store your tomatoes so that they last longer than a day or two?

I spill the beans here.

For 4 more veggie storage tips, including how to prevent slimy cucumbers, comment STORAGE and I'll send you your free veggie storage guide.

I'm falling in line with something you already know quite well. Your green beans are so addictive!

These beauties have so much flavor that all you need is a little olive oil and salt, and your veggies are done.

I can't get enough of these beans - they paired so well with teriyaki chicken and a peach salad that I'm already planning when I'm making this recipe again.

I can't believe I haven't made bruschetta in years!!

I got the idea in my head and it just wouldn't leave. So off to the store I went to grab the French bread I needed.

Mixed some shredded chicken with our heirloom tomatoes and finely sliced basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, and dinner is done!

One of the things I love about farming is finding veggies with character.

And I know you do, too!

Not something you'd find in the grocery store, either. Too imperfect.

But when you support a local farm, you get to find so many veggies with character.

Homemade jam brings me back to breakfasts at my grandma's house.

She made the BEST jam, and when I was finally old enough to make jam myself, I asked her for the recipe.

I tweaked it a little bit to improve the consistency, and I'm sharing that recipe on my blog at www.thirstyfruitfarm.com/blog

Green beans seem to linger in our fridge.

Here's how I store them so that they last the longest.

The one thing my kiddo loves for breakfast more than anything?

Muffins. Usually the more chocolate, the better.

Instead of the double chocolate zucchini muffins I've been making lately, I tried blueberry. They just hit the spot first thing in the morning.

Local grains from GreenStar, plus our own eggs and blueberries? What could be better?

You can make muffins, too, with the last of the season's blueberries. Grab yours at the farm this Friday, August 28, 3-6 pm. I'd love to see you there!

One of our customers tried to have some self-control to save her u-pick blueberries for lunches.

But, Friday night rolled around, and she started popping them like popcorn.

Soon enough, her blueberries were gone. So much for lunches...

You have one last opportunity to grab our blueberries - this Friday, August 28, 3-6 pm.

After that, the season's over until 2027.

You see that bird behind my head? That's one of our hawk kites.

It fascinates everyone who comes out to the farm. And it takes them a minute to realize what it is.

The kites are one of the ways we scare off the birds, because they LOVE our blueberries, too.

This week is the last week for blueberries! Grab some this Friday at the farm, 3-6 pm.

See you there!

The #1 question I get asked during blueberry season: Do I need to rinse my berries first before I freeze them?

Turns out, freezing blueberries is easier than you think. No sheet pan avalanches required.

For my answer to your question and my process for freezing blueberries, comment BLOG and I'll share it with you.
