Our History

We have been raising dairy goats since 1994. What started out as a 4-H project when I was 8 years old, with one unregistered Nubian doe, Sparkle (pictured), has become a herd of almost fifty goats. Our primary interest is in raising show quality dairy goats. In 2008, I graduated college, got a job, and moved off the farm. The goats still live with my parents on their farm in Slatington, PA and I am still heavily involved.

I bought my first registered purebred Nubian, Jasperhollow SHF Cream Puff, in 1996 from Jasperhollow Farm. From this foundation doe, I have tried to improve through breedings to bucks from Lakeshore Farms, Lynnhaven, JHFarms, and Starfire Nubians. You may see our name attached to a Saanen or two out there and we still have a few on the farm but our focus has shifted primarily to Nubians. We are pleased with the progress we have made, with many of the does taking home Best of Breed and Best in Show honors each year. We have participated in DHIR since 2001 and Linear Appraisal since 2004. We attend ADGA Nationals when it is within less than a day drive.

In 2010, we registered our first SaaNubian (our unofficial term for a Saanen/Nubian cross). Since then, we have continued to grow a SaaNubian herd in hopes of combining the capacity and structure of a Saanen udder with the beautiful general appearance of our Nubians. It has proven to be an interesting and successful project. We have 3 permanent champion SaaNubians and all the milkers we have raised so far have earned their *M.
