We are not wealthy so we have to be smart and look for deals. A local fence place has discarded pickets sometimes so Wilson checks every day and grabs what he can. He’s collected enough to finish my fencing in the garden so here is the progress. Hopefully, this will prevent some weeds and protect from wind.

If you get to the farm early enough you get to enjoy the rabbits. Four of them were chasing each other and they have no fear of us so they even lay down in the grass with me sitting 20 feet away. The farm is truly a wonderful place.

Is anyone interested in herbal classes? I’m thinking of doing one on growing and using for culinary purposes geared towards all ages and one for adults that is about using them to make balms. Classes would be hour and a half to two hours max with handouts and samples to take home.

Enjoy my photos of a fairy iris and the front bulb bed. It was nice to come down and see the blooms. It has been a rough week moving into the new cancer center but the pharmacy is ready to go on Monday.

What’s happening on the farm? Wilson is battling gophers who have filled the valve box for our sprinklers again. He and our son stained the new fence to match my greenhouse. Trees are being planted and my iris are blooming. My greenhouse is full of seedlings nearly ready to plant out and I’m incubating 9 Eastern turkeys!

Sorry for the silence. I’m working full time to try to speed up progress on the farm. But here’s a little taste of spring! My seed starts are coming along nicely. The greenhouse is a success!

Sad news. Due to the weather we were unable to put away the ducks and something killed all but one male. I hatched those ducks so I’m devastated. I’ll have to rehome the male as he can’t be by himself.

With it snowy it seemed like a good day to work on quilt repairs for my dear friend Melissa. My shop may be long gone but I still love to save family heirlooms.

Wove my first shawl using lovely yarn from The Yarny Way in Lubbock. Highly recommend her shop.
