❤️ Important Announcement from the Porch Pantry ❤️

This is a very difficult post to write, but after a lot of thought, prayer, and consideration, I need to let everyone know that the Porch Pantry will be closing effective immediately.

This little pantry has grown into something incredibly special. It began as a simple effort to support families during a time of need, and it has become a true community project—filled with generosity, kindness, and love from so many of you. Every donation, every share, every visit, and every word of encouragement has meant more to me than I can express.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported the mission from the beginning. You fed families. You helped neighbors. You made a difference. The impact this pantry has had wouldn’t have been possible without all of you.

While this chapter is ending, the heart behind it will always remain, and I’m so grateful for the time we were able to serve our community together.

Thank you for understanding and for being part of something so meaningful. ❤️

We are running low on several essentials and would appreciate donations of the listed items for our pantry. I know times are tight for everyone, but this pantry can’t work with out generosity from our community! If you can, please considering donating. These families deserve to be warm and have full bellies. Even if everyone donated 10 dollars that would go so far for the pantry. We really really appreciate everyone’s help past, present and we look forward to future donations. This pantry is a community effort and we couldn’t do what we do without yall! From the bottom of my heart, thank yall so much! ❤️

‼️URGENT‼️
The cold weather has arrived, and we are experiencing a surge in requests for assistance. Currently, we have a shortage of children's jackets, which is a pressing need. If you have any gently used jackets, please consider donating them. Additionally, space heaters are in high demand, as many homes in this area are older and lack adequate heat circulation. We have several families requiring space heaters, and any donations would be greatly appreciated. The dollar store offers them at reasonable prices. The pantry is really dry. Fridge and dry goods! We need just about everything! If you can, please consider donating! Thank y’all for all you do, we have an awesome community!! ❤️

We have a single mom of 3 and pregnant with her 4th who recently left a terrible marriage and starting over. She doesnt have any family or support system really and could really use some help welcoming her new baby in their fresh start! Theyre taking the baby on December 3rd if he doesnt come sooner. A few announcements!!

You should have received a text telling you when to pick up your Thanksgiving meal yesterday. If you signed up and didn’t receive a text, please reach out; there were some who couldn’t be reached.

Also, some great news!! The very first person who came to the pantry is a single mom who had recently lost her job and was eagerly looking. We’ve kept in contact, and she got a job at a bank!!! We’re so excited for her!!! She mentioned that she does not have any professional clothing for her new job. I’d love to be able to help her! She said she needs 1-3x, just depending on style. If you have anything that you are trying to get rid of, please let me know; I’d love to get her started at her new awesome job on the right foot!

Santa Red & Blue is a service organization that helps the citizens of Slaton, TX. We provide Christmas dinner and toys for families and Christmas dinner for the elderly and the homebound citizens of Slaton.

The pantry was so so busy yesterday. Completely depleted. I’ve never seen it so busy or low. So grateful that everyone could come by! 🙌🏻❤️ just wanted to show yall what yall do, and just how much this means to people! To everyone who donates thank you thank you!!!! The fridge is completely empty and the pantry is about empty too. I’m gonna work on restocking today. I have a sick baby and I don’t pick up the restock order till this evening, I apologize. I will put what I have out there. Fridge will have things by tonight.
If you can please please donate all food things! As always thank yall thank yall for all you do!! This pantry couldn’t exist without you!❤️
