Fischer's Sleepy Bison Acres Our mission: Raise healthy, tasty animals with respect in nature's image. We eat everything we raise, plain and simple. We love to hear any and all comments!!

Thus, we strive to offer the best tasting bison, pastured free range chicken eggs, and pastured pork you have sank your teeth into, not only for your enjoyment, but ours as well!

The annual customer appreciation and open house is complete.
Bales were climbed, bison were fed apples 🍎 on the pasture, lawn chairs were setup under the apple trees, the sand pile was dug, bison cheeseburgers with bacon were devoured, and a litter of kittens was found.. With an ✈️ flyover!
Think that counts as a successful day!
Always happy to further the connection of food with our consumers!!

❌ Myth: Bison are aggressive animals that charge people for no reason.

✅ Busted!

Bison are wild animals, not naturally aggressive.

Most conflicts happen because people:

Get too close
Block their escape route
Surprise them
Ignore warning signs
Given space, bison almost always prefer to move away rather than fight.

Respecting their personal space keeps both people and bison safe. Low-stress handling principles also emphasize working with a bison's natural behavior instead of forcing or frightening it.

Happy first day of fall 🍁
That red color isn’t the tree leaves, looks like Jojo has a new calf! 🦬
In the coming days, she will likely get more used to company being around the calf, and will usually be more accommodating 📷
