DAMO BBQ is Danny and Maggie Orlando and we grew up across the street from each other in Villa Park, IL. Danny has been a Carpenter for over 2+ decades and I have a Full time job and a bachelor’s degree in science, Psychology. No, we don’t have food backgrounds, but both of us come from BIG families. Danny is the baby of 6 and I am the baby of 8; that means we know how to appease to the masses. Th

is is what grew our interest in exploring a food business. Danny learned to cook from his Italian father, Bob, and has taken a passion for cooking with his own spin. He has been cooking for over 20+ years for family and friends. We believe our food has our heart in it and are ready to serve it to you! It’s the late nights by the smoker, the purveyors and farmers who supply our ingredients, every new town we’ve visited, and—most importantly—YOU!! We’re only going into our first full weekend here, and the support we’ve received has honestly blown us away.
Other local businesses have reached out. Neighbors have stopped by. People have shared our posts and told their friends about us. Families have welcomed us. And so many of you have taken the time to introduce yourselves and make us feel at home.
That is how a community grows. ❤️
Dan and I didn’t come here just to park a food truck. We are building our new home for DAMO BBQ here, and we’re incredibly excited to get to know more of the people who make Marengo special.
