Bailey Bee Supply is offering a FREE Intro to Beekeeping class — exclusively for those who've served. 🙏

Spend two Saturdays learning the craft of beekeeping with David Bailey: classroom sessions, Q&A, and hands-on live beehive demos. Whether you're bee-curious or ready to start your first hive, this is a fantastic way to get into the hobby (and lunch is on them!).

📅 When: Saturdays, August 22 & 29 | 8 AM – 2:30 PM

📍 Where: NC Cooperative Extension, 1020 US-70, Hillsborough

🐝✨ What an AMAZING day at the 2026 JCBA One-Day Bee School! ✨🐝

Today we welcomed a incredible group of new beekeepers into our hive — and we couldn't be more excited for what's ahead for each of them! From bee biology and package installation to seasonal management and Varroa mite control, these future beekeepers soaked it ALL in like sponges. 🧠💛

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible instructors, our beekeeping supply vendors, and everyone who made today possible. And of course — shoutout to Daddy D's BBQ for lunch keeping everyone fueled up! 🍖🤤

Johnston County NC Beekeepers Association Meeting Cancelled – Monday, January 26

Due to the winter weather event affecting our area, the Johnston County Beekeepers meeting scheduled for Monday, January 26th has been cancelled out of an abundance of caution.

We want everyone to stay safe and off the roads during this weather. Our next regular meeting will be held as scheduled.

Stay warm and keep an eye on your hives if conditions allow safe access.
