It was a SABLE type of show! 🐐🏆
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Idaho Syringa Show in Boise this past weekend! Beautiful goats, wonderful company and the best time showing with friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better time! We took a very small string this year, 5 Nubian milkers and 2 juniors, 1 sable milker and 3 kids! Our results were as follows:
Nubian Milkers:
Yearling milkers:
🥇 MDNT WK Devil Wears Prada - 2x 1st place yearling milker (only shown Saturday)
🥇 MDNT AL Dippin’ Dots - 2x 1st place yearling milker (only shown Sunday)
2 year old milker:
🥇 MDNT CM Alakazam! - 3x 1st place and 1x Reserve Champion!
3 year old milker:
🥈Blossom-Thyme Sweet Zaneva - 2x 2nd place and 2x 3rd place
4 year old milker:
🥇 Redwood Hills Vision Tiffany - 4x 1st place (single entry, unfortunately she didn’t fill her udder like she normally does to be competitive for grand/reserve… next time! 🩷)
We also had quite a few 1st place udders although I’m struggling to recall who and where 😂 we additionally were 3x Best Nubian Dairy herd (scratched from last ring cus we were so tired 😴) and 2x mentioned for best dairy herd in show!
Sable Milker:
🏆 CH Kickapoo Valley ML Romaberry - 3x Grand Champion, 3x Best of Breed and 3x Best udder of Breed!
Nubian juniors:
🏆 MDNT WK Last Enchantment - 1x 1st place, 1x Jr Grand Champion! (Scratched from other rings)
🏆 MDNT IG Firecracker - 1x 1st place, 1x Jr Grand Champion! (Scratched from other rings, our very first Igris daughter! 😍)
Sable Juniors:
🏆 Talache’s Halsey - 1x Reserve, 1x Jr Grand Champion (scratched from other rings)
🏆 MDNT PC Velocity - 1x Reserve, 1x Jr Grand Champion
And the most exciting for last……
💜💛💜 Kickapoo Valley HH Veniceberry was 1x 1st place, 1x Jr Grand Champion and 1x BEST JR DOE IN SHOW! 💜💛💜
We had such a wonderful time at this show and are already looking forward to next year. We love seeing all our friends and getting to compete against such incredible does! Huge thank you to the incredible show committee for putting on one of our favorite shows.
A absolutely massive thank you to Kaylee who stayed home to take care of the does at home while I got to go play all weekend, my mom who helped hold down the fort and cheer us on from home and my dad who not only drove the trailer (I’m a big we**ie and refuse to drive it 😂) but also helped care for the does all weekend, help exhibit animals AND get us some fantastic ring shots of the does. It takes a village, and I couldn’t be more grateful for mine 🩷
