Lettleiki Islandics for some representation of our Teff hay we supply them, Leadership which took me to amazing places in our county, moving Jack to Louisville, and ended it with friends and family at The Shelby County Horse Show. Always a favorite thing to do with our host Ferenc X Vegh Jr and his family.

I asked Doug if he's seen any of the Purple Martens around because their house looked abandoned. He found them alright, along with 300 or more (both counting as best we could), readying themselves to leave for the year.
Might need to expand our Purple Marten house or add another bird-condo.

Yes, it is also National Dairy Month! Sad that there are only 2-3 dairies left in our large county😩 Thank you for carrying on a tradition. LisaJeff Gibson and Terry Rowlett are the two off the top of my head who stay the course thru diversifying their love of the business; yes, It’s a business.
So here’s to all you that enjoy dairy in its many forms and those who oppose dairy here are some examples of dairy products:
milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, Kefir, Ice Cream, eggnog, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, cream, dulce de Leche, Gelato, Infant Formula, sour cream, Tzatziki, Whey Protein….
Let’s mention all the byproducts from the carcass; shortening, meat of course, bone broth, gelatin, baseball leather, insulin, heparin(blood thinner), vaccines and xenotransplantation to name a few.

Thank you all for the kind words regarding my “retirement “ from my professional career.
I’m going back to the farm full time.
Life is good!! We are expecting our first Grandson in August but first, Megan gets married in May! Jack will graduate WKU in May. 😩🥰 Busy year and 100 acres of hay to farm….And lots of beef cattle to tend to…. I will be slammed but hopefully less stressed🧐😀
Here’s to 2024 and hanging to our nearly 75 year old family farm!!!
My grand babies can take it into the next 75 years to be a Sesquicentennial like my daddy’s farm❤️
