Terry's Grocery Fresh, Friendly, and Close to Home. Terry's Grocery is a family owned business that offers the best meats and customer service in Smiths Station, AL.

Just a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of Highway 431 in Phenix City, AL is one of the best setups in Lee County – maybe even all of Alabama. Because once you find Terry’s grocery and its neighboring businesses, not only can you call it a day on your errands, but also visit your friends and save money at the same time. Unlike typical “mom and pop” grocery stores with half-empty shelves, old products and outrageous prices, Terry’s offers one-on-one service, complete with first names and greetings like “how’s your mama?” But that’s where the stereotypes end. The spacious store is laid out with wide aisles and features the freshest produce money can buy. Terry’s carries the Shur-Fine private brand of canned goods and owner Richard Terry confesses, “They are a better quality than other canned goods and are sold at much lower prices.”

Meat department manager Kieth Veasey loves to brag about his products. “We’re known mostly for our meat department,” Veasey says. "We’re a steak store and people come from everywhere to buy our meat.”

Terry’s accepts special orders from everyone from large corporations to a family of four planning a cookout. Meat here is fresh cut every day and has prices that blow away the big chains! Terry’s gets chicken fresh locally every day and grinds hamburger three times a day, every day. Find out why Terry’s of Smiths Station has been a mainstay for nearly five decades and how you would be greatly served to be a part of its future. Once you do, the closest you’ll get to those big grocery store chains is seeing their sign in your rear view mirror.
