Family owned and operated vineyard and winery on 4th generation owned farm. Located in Smithsburg, Maryland at an elevation of 1500 feet our grapes experience warm days and cool nights, perfect for excellent winemaking. Here's the story:
In the early 1940s our great-grandfather set out to purchase farmland in the fruit-growing region of Smithsburg, Maryland. During discussion of sale with the old

farmer he noticed a single red heifer peacefully grazing. Our family farm was purchased that day along with that lone red heifer. Some say if not for the red heifer you would not be drinking this wine.
