Vixen Hollow Equestrian Center / CKT Equestrian Center is currently ISO a part time member to join our team!! Our wonderful part time helper is returning to college for the semester and we need someone to fill his very big reliable shoes 🤗

The job is late afternoon/early evening start time (typically around or after 3pm ) Monday-Friday with weekends off. The job mostly consists of cleaning out stalls and setting the stalls up for AM as well as evening feeding. horse handling experience is not required, but if you are confident around horses there is the opportunity to make a higher wage for assisting with evening turnout. It is roughly 2-3 hrs of work and we have an easy set up with proper equipment to make life as easy as possible.
All applicants must be 18 or older and have a reliable form of transportation. Reliability is the most important quality that we look for in an employee filling this position.

We will be looking for someone who is able to start asap/after August 17th when our current help goes back to school.

Hey there to all you folks interested in working with horses 😊!! We are currently offering a unique job opportunity at Vixen Hollow Equestrian Center located in Smithsburg, Maryland (USA). We are looking for a part time barn manager,specifically to cover our daily AM chores and duties. This position would be Monday-Thursdays mornings only from 7:30am-12:30pm.
This new position would be in charge of :
•AM Feeding
•Bringing horses in
•Filling water buckets in stalls
•Setting up grain for the evening feeding.
•Changing blankets as needed
•And assisting our afternoon/evening barn manager around 12pm with turning the horses out that have finished work for the day.

The wages for this position are very good part time wages along with an opportunity to make easy extra money if you are able to help cover AM or PM feeding shifts on weekends. ** our horses stay out on weekend so the feeding time is roughly 30-45 mins with our UTV ** Weekend work is extra incentive , but not mandatory.

Ideally we are looking for a candidate who is confident and comfortable handling sport horses of all ages, able to comprehend a feed chart ,make grain up and administer as instructed, and most importantly someone who is very good at being punctual,reliable and a good team player.

Anyone who wishes to apply MUST have a reliable source of transportation, and ideally some references that demonstrate their ability,confidence and knowledge handling horses and completing these types of duties.

We have pride ourselves in having safe respectful horses here at Vixen Hollow and we would like to keep them that way with staff members that are able to support positive behavior with proper care and handling.🐎❤️

I would love to find someone who could start as soon as possible but we are fairly flexible with setting a start date within 30 days of hiring for a top candidate.

✨OUR 1ST GRIDWORK THURSDAY WAS A HIT 😊👏🏻🐎, AND NOW OUR 2ND GRIDWORK THURSDAY IS COMING UP NEXT WEEK ,MARCH 31st !!! ✨

🐎We’re aiming to do 2 Gridwork Thursdays a month throughout the season to give participants lots of opportunities to take advantage of a great educational outing with their horse in a friendly environment at a top class facility 🐎👌🏻

We’ve already got a few fantastic folks who will be joining Caiti Kuczynski Eventing for our first Gridwork Thursday here at Vixen Hollow Equestrian Center but there is still room and time to sign up and join in on the fun !! 🤗🐎🙌🏻
