🍎 Free summer lunches are back!

Smyrna School District's Child Nutrition Program is hitting the road with our Summer Food Service Program, providing FREE lunch to all children and teens 18 and under.

📅 Monday, June 29 through Thursday, August 6
🕚 Meals are served Monday through Thursday and must be eaten on site.

Lunch will be available at:
📍 Smyrna Elementary School
📍 Commerce Square (Child Nutrition Bus)
📍 Smyrna High School (Child Nutrition Bus)

Help us spread the word so every child has access to a healthy meal this summer.

Good news, Eagles! 🥞🍎

Starting with the 2025–26 school year, all Non-CEP public or charter schools are required to provide FREE breakfast for all students. Lunch prices will remain the same—$1.25 for grades K-6 and $1.50 for grades 7-12. Families can apply online for meal benefits at PayschoolsCentral.com. We look forward to seeing our students in the cafeteria!

Thank you to the Delaware Department of Education for highlighting the inspiring work happening right here in Smyrna School District!

What started as a simple idea from our Nutrition Services Supervisor, Kristen Kahl — “Why aren’t we serving more of the food growing all around us?” — has grown into a thriving Farm-to-School program.

We’re proud to partner with Fifer Orchards, Broad Acres Farm, and our own Smyrna High FFA program to bring local, nutritious, and delicious food to our students — even growing greens hydroponically right in the cafeteria!
