It's been a very long and exhausting couple of weeks of prodromal labor, but our newest little farmhand has finally arrived this week. Olivia Grace is enjoying snuggles with the family, and Elissa is getting rest. ❤️ Thank you all for your care for our family as we adjust to life right now!

Our oldest son has been in charge of our rabbits this year and he has a handful of bunnies that were born this summer.

Some of farm life includes anatomy lessons and figuring out boy/girl in order to separate them, etc. These are really sweet baby bunnies, and we all enjoy them!

In other news, our baby girl is very comfortable in her current situation. 🤰 So Ben is planning on being at The Corner Farmers Market in the morning! Come stock up on your meats, flour, eggs, etc!

We believe today may be baby day! We will NOT be at the The Corner Farmers Market today. We apologize to our customers (pre-orders and otherwise) for the change in plans, but we figure you might understand. 🥰

We may plan a Greensboro pickup later this coming week. Keep an eye out for another post for that info.

This summer has been a different one for our family and farm. It's included a lot of learning! There has been a LOT of chicken butchering, and in that process our boys learning to step up and help in ways they had not yet. All three are learning to butcher chickens from beginning to end.

I'm trying to help our children learn more cooking and grilling skills. We also have a friend who is teaching some sewing skills to them on occasion. They've been enjoying that and I'm appreciating the results!

We are also preparing for a new little farm hand to arrive anytime in the next few weeks. 🥰 Baby Girl Schmid has been much anticipated! If you've been at the Corner Market in the last month, you know I have not been in attendance due to the heat. I miss interacting with our customers a lot! Thank you for continuing to support our farm during this hot summer!

How are you all surviving this insane heat wave?? We made homemade peanut butter ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce for tonight as our cool down. 🥵 Happy 4th of July!!

Sometimes the goat kids like to climb to new heights! Mom doesn't look too concerned though under the shelter. 😂

If you all need anything this week before the holiday, let us know! We will NOT be at on Saturday to be able to have a break. But we can meet up or you can visit us at the farm!

Come and see us at between 8am and noon tomorrow! Next Saturday we will NOT be at market due to July 4 and family time.

We have pork and chicken! Plus flour and eggs that will fly off the table. 🥰 Let us know what you need!

A special French toast casserole for Jenna's 5th birthday today! Made with sourdough, B&E Farm eggs and milk, and a lot of love. 🥰

Homemade chicken nuggets tonight made with our chicken and fried in lard! They were delicious!!
