Happy, happy cows! 🐄✨ They know the drill and watch me from the holding pen very impatiently as I set up another paddock for grazing.

Rotational grazing takes more work, but the benefits are well worth it.

We run them across a strip of land for just a couple of days, then give that area a long break to bounce back. When cows are in a smaller section, they graze more evenly instead of just wandering around and trampling half of it down. We could do even better by shrinking the paddocks and moving them daily!

After they've mowed and fertilized an area, and before the grass gets too short, we move them to fresh, lush ground.

Cattle can either destroy your land or build it up. It all comes down to careful management.

We’ve been investing in our beef infrastructure lately, and things are hopefully going to look a lot different on our farm within the next year. We are super excited for what's ahead! 🙌

Mr. Norman and I made a whole mess of soap the other day with our finest ingredients: grass fed tallow he rendered down from his beef, lard from our pork, and creamy A2A2 milk from my girls.
Soap made the old fashioned way, using whatever wholesome fats you have around!
These big bars will be done curing in 1 month.

Orange Frankincense: tallow, lard, coconut oil, milk, lye, orange zest, essential oils, mica

Lavender: tallow, lard, coconut oil, milk, lye, oatmeal, essential oil, mica

It's all hands on deck with harvest!!! Our favorite time of year🤩 We pray every day for safety and also want to remind everyone on the shore to take it easy around blind corners and on back roads. We have all kinds of big equipment out and a loaded dump truck can't get off the road.

Our market will be open today 2-5! Come pick pumpkins, sunflowers. We also have straw for those hay rides!
